Ajay Arora holds a Bachelor's degree in Textiles from VJTI in Mumbai. He is currently pursuing the OPM programme at Harvard Business School.

The son of Shri V. K. Arora, Ajay joined us in July 1990. He initiated Jaquard weaving for ladies apparel and in 1995, initiated our foray into home furnishings. He spearheaded the entire process of production, product development and sales for this division. In 1999, when the group split, Ajay was designated to be our Managing Director. He has been working hands-on to power D'Decor's growth as a company from $ 8 million to $ 130 million, and has strengthened our ability to handle complexity and scale.

Under his stewardship, D'Decor is now recognised as the third-largest manufacturer of curtain and upholstery fabric. Through his engineering background, we have acquired great technological strength. He has personally led the implementation of manufacturing technology and information technology. He has anchored the growth of I.T., Human Resources, brand and strategy in our young company. All these functions are now key differentiators for D'Decor and its global competitors.

Ajay is always engineering D'Decor's next innovation. The launch of a new business model in the domestic market has been a game-changer for the entire market and has created exponential growth for D'Decor. In acknowledgement of his unique achievements in the textile industry, VJTI's Textiles department invited Ajay to be their chief guest. Over the years, he has served on many select industry panels. In the last 6 years, D'Decor has been conferred with 19 awards consecutively for being the largest exporter of synthetic fabrics.

Sanjay Arora is an Executive M.B.A. from the London School of Business. He completed his technical training in the Japanese textile industry. He first entered the textile business in the nineties, beginning with the embroidered curtains segment. With his hard work and business acumen, he built D'Decor into one of the largest enterprises, both in value and volume, within his portfolio in Asia.

From there, he moved into the making of sheer curtains, taking on the market suppliers from Turkey who were the largest suppliers of sheer fabric to the European Union. With his sharp focus on the product, he turned the tables on the industry leaders and steered D'Decor ahead of its Turkish competitors.

Sanjay was instrumental in creating Silk Look curtain plains and textures, and supplying them to these markets. Soon, a fabric that was expensive and in short supply became almost a commodity, changing the way it was perceived and used in the EU. Towards introducing branded wallpapers in India, Sanjay is now setting up a world-class wallpaper printing plant in the country.

Sanjay easily qualifies as a maverick when it comes to precision and focus on our company's product development and design. It is a quality that makes international buyers turn towards D'Decor and give us preference over a host of available brands, thus making D'Decor the third-largest manufacturer in the world.
